1. Prepare a disposable syringe with a capacity of 5 - 10 ml and a new disposable needle size 0.4 - 0.5 mm (not thicker).

2. Fill the syringe with cold (distilled or boiled) water, and then insert the needle. Make sure that the needle also contains water, this will prevent excision of self-locking joint and blocking up the needle.

3. Find the adjustment hole located on one of the edges of the sand picture. Make sure that there is no sand in the area of the hole and insert the needle in the adjustment hole.

Next, inject some water contained in the syringe into the sand picture.

4. Gently remove the syringe leaving the needle in the adjustment hole of the picture. The excess of air will escape through the needle, equalizing the pressure in the picture.

5. The approximate amount of air for proper operation of the sand picture according to its size is shown in the following picture.

6. After successful adjustment, remove the needle carefully, put the sand picture in its initial position and trickle the sand a few times. If the adjustment has been done properly, the picture will create unique landscapes and the sand will fall down slowly.

If the sand picture still does not work properly (the sand does not fall) perform the adjustment once again.
